There are some clips on youtube of a BMW E30 with V10, but as you say extremely complicated, expensive and totally impractical in Thailand. Very nice though and sounds amazing.

But as you say, a conversion like the V10 would be highly complicated and totally impractical here in Thailand. Knowing Norway and Sweden with regards to getting parts for such a project, it wouldn`t be such a challenge. But trying to get the parts here in Th, it would be a hair-tearing experience.
