Direct Flights Hadyai To Phuket

Featured Replies

A couple of years ago I flew from Hadyai to Phuket on Thai Air. It was a direct flight and took about 45 mins. I just tried to find one again and see that on the Thai website all flights arer about 4 to 6 hours and are two flights with Bangkok as a mid point. Is this new or have I missed something? :o

Perhaps you missed Hat Yai airport being blown up a few weeks ago? :o

The airport was hardly 'blown up' although damage was done... flights never were totally halted. I doubt it takes 45 minutes to fly from HadYai to Phuket, maybe with all ground delays....

Phuket Air flies Hadyai-Phuket

Well the damage to terminal was rather severe from films I viewed; people were killed and maimed with dozens taken to hospitals so it may well be the reason Thai has chosen to forgo the Phuket route.

Chiang Mai airport last week had machine gun guards inspecting all cars going into terminal area and another set of guards at all doors to terminal.

As for Phuket Air - has anyone been reading the papers the last few weeks?
