I have been lucky to find 3/4 hotels for 500 thb -430thb p/n with ANY wi-fi. Fast is like another universe. Good luck in Bangkok. I'm out in the jungle here.

well.... i got a place for you but it is only an hour flight from bkk though.... LOL

the wifi is also very fast on private leased and paid for line from tot....

best of of, it is a free for all guest.... at 2meg....

btw now i'm in some guesthouse in gulf coast for 200 bt heheh...2 quite fast wi fi networks (around 1 mbps)...- from which 1 is free&unsecured :)...so i guess it's not impossible....:-)

It's time to wake up from your dream :) Best plan in that budget is to stay near Khao San Road, get a cheap room and then find an Internet centre and pay by the hour.

PM Funinplural or whatever he is called - he does all the budget stuff - this sounds his area of expertse. But for under 500 baht I think you will be lucky in BKK.
