I guess you mean a re-entry permit. As long as your current permission to stay is valid. You would have to return before that date anyway.

If you are talking about a multiple entry VISA it will be 1 year from the date of issue.

Re-entry permit is always valid to the same date as your current permitted to stay until stamp. And it only allows entry - it does not extend that permitted to stay date. You get stamped with the same permitted to stay when you arrive with the re-entry permit as you had before you departed.

Single re-entry permit costs 1,000 baht, multiple 3,800 baht. You need to obtain at the immigration offfice where you did your extension of stay. if not on an extension of stay, any immigration office will do.

You will need to bring a photo.

Question - I havent done my 90 day extension yet for my Non - Imm (ED) and Its a single entry one. I have to extend in by April 27. If I do a multiple re- entry permit, will it only be valid for the current 3 month visa? Or would it also be valid for my next 3 month extension and so on?

A re-entry permit will only keep your current permission to stay alive. A new re-entry permit would be required each time to preserve each future permission to stay.

Does it matter how early/late you apply for a re-entry visa. For example if you arrive on a 90 day stay can you apply for a re-entry visa on day 2 if you intend a 3 day trip out of the Kingdom on day 80/81/82?

But if you only have a 90 day stay it would not make much sense to obtain a re-entry permit for a trip late in the stay as you do not obtain any new time using it.

If your current permitted to stay until date is 22 March and you return on 21 March with a re-entry permit you are stamped in until 22 March. You must use before the date indicated and the date indicated will be your permitted to stay until date.

You need 1000 baht for a single or 3800 for a multiple, the form (TM8) is downloadable here on Thaivisa and you photo. ANY immigration office can do this.

You also need to take copies of passport pages (photo page/visa page/entry stamp) and TM6 departure card. If on extension of stay you need to obtain at the immigration office where you did your extension of stay, otherwise any immigration office will do.
