For short notice needs check Thai for Super Deals (not always available), otherwise the middle east carriers tend to have the lower one way fares.

Air Berlin, Bangkok Air (might be my imagination, but I seem to remember they fly to Amsterdam), but I'd go with Gulf Air who have always done me well and are usually very competitive.

Qatar Etihad and Emirates are usually good value

Air Berlin with feeds from Stansted and Barcelona has ok deals via Dusseldorf or Berlin

If you really like poor service Sri Lankan Mhan or Biman who give you the chance o try Persian Lankn or B Deshi delays

Long routes but via Kl on Air Asia is just one transfer to C Mai and half price of Thai horrid food and 14hrs on a bus!

China Eastern Eva and Air China

Always interesting to check the price for a return ticket (cheapest type = not changeable) and not use the return part. You might get a cheaper rate than a oneway ticket.

Sri Lanka airlines is cheap one way and you can get a stop over hotel for the night in Sri lanka.

Its a nice airline for the money and beats air asia hands down

I just looked out of interest and they have flights to LHR end of the month starting at THB 14055.00 taxes included

Ps the food and drinks onboard are included,

have a look

....it's your imagination. :)

possibly china airlines you're thinking of? they fly to AMS and on the subject of cheapest airlines they are usually one of the cheapest.

they have a codeshare with KLM to get to UK (possibly other codeshares to other parts of UK/europe too?).

anyway, OP has not stated exactly where in europe they will be going/coming from.
