Needed: Apartment To Rent In Prakanong Area For 6 Weeks

Featured Replies

Hey everyone,

I am hoping someone will be able to give me a bit of advice regarding renting an apartment in the Prakanong area of Bangkok for a period of around 6 weeks. The area I am looking at in particular is near 920 Sukhumvit Road, around the UNESCO building if anyone here is familiar with that location.

Could any of you in Bangkok please tell me if it is possible to rent a decent apartment around that area? - nothing luxurious as I am only looking to spend around 10,000 BAHT per month if possible (a bit more if needed though). Is this a good area for apartments/staying in for a short period of time, or should I be looking at another location close by which would be more suitable? I would like to be near to a BTS station if possible too.

Thanks very much for your help and advice.

The UNESCO building is actually located between Ekamai and Thonglo BTS station. At the Thonglo BTS station, there is an apartment complex called SK Mansion, which will rent by the month for about 8000 baht. This doesn't include water, electricity and other utilities if any. Also there is an extra price for tv and refrigerator rental. There are probably other places closeby, but I don't know of any that rent month by month. If I come across the telephone number for SK Mansion, I will post it however, its probably best if you go directly there yourself and take a look. You can also see it from the skytrain as you travel from BTS Thonglo to Ekamai, close to Sukhumvit 40.

Here's a map of the location from the website:

Hey Mauiguy90,

Thanks very much for your reply and the info you have given me...I will have a search on Google to find out a bit more about the place you mention - SK Mansion. It sounds handy also being close to Thonglo BTS. Hopefully I can find a few pictures showing the apartments interior etc...I'm not too fussy as will just be there for the 6 weeks so as long as it is clean and in a decent location it should be ok.

If anyone else has any further tips on any other apartments complexes in the area would really appreciate any info.

Thanks again for your help.

Hey Rex,

I walked by the apartment today. Its actually called SK Tower. Don't know if you'll find it on the internet, as I have tried before unsuccessfully. Here's their phone number: 02-712-4111. The place is fairly new and decent looking, altho everything extra costs money(they charge for fridge and tv too). Anyhow, check it out and best of luck!

Hey mauiguy90,

Thanks so much for your help dude....I have been searching on the net and emailed a few places in the Prakanong area. Not sure how many replies I'll get but it is a bit difficult trying to pre-arrange an apartment before I actually arrive in Bangkok in early July. At least you have given me some contact details so will see how I go with Sk Tower.

Thanks again mate for your help!
