Minivan Or Pick Up With Driver

Featured Replies

I'm looking for a driver with a minivan or a pick up to take me, my girlfriend and my dog from Samui to Korat. We've got a couple of computer desks and chairs and some boxes to take as well.

Any reccomendations?

I can't use any of the regular car rental places as I haven't got a credit card with me which is proving a pain.

Thanks in advance

I understand your position but have you thought it through....it could be pricey, because you will have to pay for diesel fuel, the ferry fare and the drivers time for both ways, plus accomodation for a night.

If you definately still consider doing it that way then say so and my wife can ask someone up here (Korat) if they fancy a trip to Samui.

Otherwise why not sell the tables and chairs and bring the boxes on a bus.

Get back to me, ok?

HL :)

this is what the esaan lot do when they send stuff home. there are people with trucks who work on samui and they drive home. there will be loads going from for son kran.

is your gf from korat if so. tell her to ask around. there are loads of people from korat here. just find one. he might have a mate who is going home. u know what it is like here they all know everybody

the post office will take care of everything and you'll take the bus.

very easy and cheap, all thais do it even for vehicules(motorbike)

Both are good ideas I always find it surprising what the post office do take from people.

Thanks for the ideas, I got one quote of 18k and another for 23k so I'm going to go by bus.

My biggest problem was going to be getting my dog with us but I've found someone to look after her for a month while I get sorted and then I'll come back and pick her up myself. I'll still ask around for someone going home for song kran as that might be the best (cheapest) way of getting stuff up there but it's all been left a bit late.
