The two crimes he was guilty of were (are?) arrogance and greed. But mostly arrogance

Truth be told, there are more non Thais working "off da books" in Thailand than people will admit to, but at least they have the good sense to keep their heads down blow the parrapet, and not flaunt the fact.

Penkoprod

Is so funny, at every "Tarat Nat" (Soi marked), locals selling 1000's of CD's and DVD, even on the beachroad, in the front of the cops, everywhere. I guess they must all real CDs (no copies) for 100 Baht only.

BTW, the boring Sophon cable TV, which plays every week the same movies, for years and again and again (of corse they are no copies they broadcasting).

Selling Copy DVD is illegal in Thailand... and most of us here including me are part of the problem by buying them. However the police are even guiltier by selectively enforcing the law - which can be very confusing. For example it is obvious that most of the DVD shop at Tuckom are selling copy DVDs out in the open why not start with them? All you have to do is go to the beach (Pattaya or Jomtien) not only you will see many copy DVD being sold there you'll see underage kids selling pornos?? Where are the police???

If they would be no copie DVD,s and CD,s, where can you buy the real one? There would be no foreignmusic or movies in Pattaya and everyone have to listen "Morlam" or "Luk Tum" Music and watching the boring sophon cable (ever week the same movies for years)

Anotherthing. How legal is to downloading movies or news over the internet? For example i listen to live american radiostations over the net and sometime i record some songs, the ones i like. Songs you couldn't buy here anywhere.

FYI,

There's a shop in Panthip, nice Guy sell's 1 Terrabite hd with 100 Blueray movies on each, old one's to new one's, he emailed 10 different lists to me, 3500 ea

:)

Always remember about a year ago ,went into Tuk com to get some dvds from my usuall lady ,her shop was closed as were the others ,she told me to go away and get a coffee as the police were making a raid soon so she couldnt sell anything ,but come back later when they have left. only in Thailand. :)
