Hi,

I was wandering if anyone could help clear this up for me.

I'm going to be applying for a double entry tourist visa.

I was going to stay for two months, and then extend for a further month at the immigtation office. After this I will have to leave the country and comeback again to start the second part of my double entry visa.

I was going to fly to Kuala Lumpur to do this. I wanted to stay in Malaysia for two weeks before then going back to Thailand - is this possible? I guess I am basically asking how long can I stay outside Thailand before coming back to start the second part of my double entry visa?

Any help on this would be great.

Your visa will say something like, use before or utilise before **-**-2010. It is before that date you have to make the second entry and all will be well. Once inside for the second time, the date is no loger important and you can also get an extension on that stay.

Most consulates will give you a validity of 6 months. It always starts from the date the visa is issued.
