Today my wife went to renew/extend my WP.

All went well and the officer was ready to put the renewal stamp in the WP (yes they do it now on the spot!) when she realized that one document (which is new to me) is missing.

Here is the (for me) new form now required:

No problem for me. Will go again later this week since my WP expiers only on 20.04.10

Also confirmed is that the renewal for a one year WP is still 3,000.- Baht in BKK.

Interesting, so how long would it take in general to apply for a work permit from the start, saying that company is already formed, and has work permits existing?

Sorry but I have no idea about that.

I can only report about anything relevant to my situation.

Our company was registered 23 years ago and my latest WP was issued in 1999. Married and have child. So things are a lot easier this way.

I should also mention that (at least in my case!!) they no longer need a copy of the ภ.ง.ด. 50 form, only the balance sheet is enough.

It will depend on the labour office but, in general terms, and assuming all documents are available and paperwork is correctly completed, usually somewhere between a few days and a week.
