mrbojangles
Good idea; but what happens when a "fatty" needs to go to the toilet? he/she will have to pass a row of fatties. The spaces between the rows should be larger as well. That's a big waste. I believe it'll be better to make these sits able to "handle" these needs thereby solving the problem Ah! A "commode" - a seat with a built-in chamber-pot. Interesting.... Flying home the other week, 2 fatties got up to go to the toilet. The seat belt signs went on and the Pilot announced Turbulance !!! So 47.8kilo makes me look a bit round. I am shaping my figure these days. Quite hard. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ok, I'm three days late. 47 looking fat? i'm double your weight, and some here triple you. Good luck.
shotover
About 5'9" (175 cm) and 84 kilos. 5 of these kilos are due to my recent 1 month stay in the USA enjoying my mother's cooking. You may see me walking in some Bkk parks this summer trying to sweat some of these excessive kilos off. The only other activity that seems to help me lose weight is drinking a lot in the bars and forgetting to eat. Not recommended. Hikage
All these figures are fine, but what is over weight and what is not? Most nutritionists these days use the Body Mass Index (BMI). It gives you an index benchmark given a specific height and weight. This is not totally foolproof since someone with a very low muscle mass : fat ratio will give a slightly inacurate result. To check your BMI go to: Check your BMI Mine is 21. Below 25 your not a fatty. Over 25 and you are a fatty. DK might need to do a little extra calculation as I think he goes off the scale Edit: Results table: ----------------------------- 18.5 or less Underweight 18.5 - 24.9 Normal 25.0 - 29.9 Overweight 30.0 - 34.9 Obese 35.0 - 39.9 V / Obese 40 or greater Extremely Obese Edited June 9, 2005 by Hikage

All they do is calculate height vs weight. So technically, a bodybuilder would be obese (although only about 5% body fat). I suppose it is interesting to know what your BMI is, but I would not read into it much

Old Croc
I think age should be considered if everybody going to take the p##s out of us larger types. (fatties) In my younger footy playing days I was 85 kilos of solid muscle and no one got in my way. These days I'm considerably larger (and a crock) and every a/hole tries to walk through me in the street. Reminds me of a story. I once got upgraded to business class on longish flight out of Perth and was sitting there in 1A feeling pretty happy with my self when a forklift pulled up to the door of the plane. The biggest guy I've ever seen lumbered from a platform on the forklift and dropped into 1B! He spilled over into half of my seat and I had to sit on one cheek jammed against the window for the entire flight. I couldn't even get downgraded to economy because the plane was full!
