Gyms Kamala?

Featured Replies

Does anyone know of a good gym/fitness club in Kamala?

I've seen the web site for Kamala Gym on phuketdir.com but have not been able to find it on the road. Does anyone know if it has shut?

Do any of the resort/residences in Kamala offer monthly gym memberships?

Thanks in advance for any helpful info.

The Kamala Gym is closed, it was on the far end on the right side on the way to Surin.

They closed almost three years ago, if my memory serves me right.

I'm not 100% sure but I think The Sprint or the Palm has gym.

I check this evening and post back when I know more.

That woud be great, thanks so much.

Sorry, haven't got in touch with a friend that attends a gym in Kamala.

Will post as soon as I get hold of him.

Went and had a word with the Regent. They seem to have gone through a U-Turn. Now saying you have to own an apartment there to use the facilities.

Went to the regent today actually, before I saw your post. Same story, no outside memberships. They weren't particularly friendly about it either. Never thought I's say this but my old Rawai Gym is looking pretty good right now.

I'm going to do a thorough search on Wed. but any other tips would be more than welcome. The Andara looks like it has nice facilities but I'd guess it's pretty expensive.

Thanks for all the info so far.

My friend told me that the Palm on beach rd is open for anyone and the cost is 1200TBH per month.

I own an apartments in Regent (gym is just before my windows :) ) and would probably help you to get there. I think I can try to settle the matter with our staff.

But I arrive only by 29th June. PM me if you need.

That would be great. Thanks. I only live a couple of minutes from the regent. Went to the Andara and they want 5k a month for only gym usage, no sauna or pool. Am using a gym in patong now but it would be great to find one closer. I'll pm you next week when you're back in town. Thanks again. Safe travels.
