Does anyone know where to buy tempeh in Bangkok? I've heard it may be available somewhere at MBK and also at the Indonesian Embassy canteen - but this is not accessible to anyone. Thanks!

I get mine from friends coming in from Singapore or Malaysia or Indonesia.

Believe that some expats wife makes them at home too cos I was offered some by a colleague in BKK.

I also tried buying the yeast powder from a website but then the hassle of keeping them in a warm cabinet to grow the yeast was too much for me. So I gave up. Probably the shops around the Malaysian embassy can help, I was told but never been there.

I still keep a few packets in my freezer and fry them whenever I need to satisfy my cravings for tempeh...

In Koh Phangan the Limpipong Healt food supermarket sell tempeh (2 different kinds).

But now I stay in Bali so I cannot say the brand and the distributor. Sorry

BTW I enjoy tempeh in Bali almost everyday :)

I am also interested in buying pre-packaged tempeh. If anyone finds it at MBK, please let me know exactly where it is; at least the floor it is on. MBK is huge!

Thanks.
