Maybe Villa Market. I go to the store at Ari BTS and have bought lamb chops there. They have several stores around Bangkok - www.villamarket.com.

I've bought some in MAKRO couple of weeks ago(here in Phuket). Around 250Baht/kg but a lot of fat......

Gerd

Cheers Gerd,

I'll try the MAKRO here. BTW if you gently fry the mince you can reduce the fat and in fact it can enhance the taste. Especially if you start off with onions and garlic.

If you are in bangkok you can get the fresh lamb/mutton meat at bangrak market (near robinson bangrak) but you need to go early. But if u are somewhere near sukhumvit then march towards onnut soi 46/1. they have the big farm and this is the place from where they send the lamb meat to other parts of bkk. Open all the time... u get the fresh daily... buzzz me here if u need more info... or place ur order here.. (eieieieieieiei) :)

It means Sukhumvit soi 77, or as referred to locally on nut.

If you enter soi 77 from Suk its at the far end of the soi on your right hand side as you head towards Srinakarin rd.

Bangrak Lamb / Mutton is the Best!!! Just beside the Soi beside Robinson. Never have any complaints when i buy from there. Just ask the Lady there to give you lamb /sheep meat instead of Goat Meat. Have to be there before 7:00 in the morning.

The first time I brought Mutton in Bangkok was On Nut Soi 46/1 was mostly goat meat and frankly was a bad expericence with the meat that I had to throw out some that I had frozen and wanted to use after a few days have never been there.

Good Luck

Central Chidlom has execlent lamb, you can pick the cut you want and the guys behind the counter will mince it for you while you wait. If you want them to trim the fat first they will just tell them and they'll do it.

I wanted some topside mince burgers the other day and they took 2 topside steaks, ground them and put them in the burger press for me - they were delicious.

Also if you buy a lot they will discount for you. Just ask the Australian manager.

drive into Onnut Soi 46 about 2 km inside and then you may see a big Water Tower (circle) go further 150 meters and on left you may see 5 star chicken stall .. go further around 200 meters and on left you have see a soi number 1/1... take left turn into that and go straigh about 1.5m.... a very remote place... park car there and walk 20-30 mts... inside and ask there.... its just behind that house... I will be going tomorrow will try to upload video map if possible. :)

When u turn right from bangrak police station towards Manhora hotel there is a small soi on the left side, and a Muslim mosque is well known in that soi, you can find excellent sheep/goat meat just in front of that mosque opens 8:00 am on wards.
