markt7081
Hi Guys, I know that you can catch huge rays from the Ban Pakong River Chachoengsao . But for a local farang, the day trip prices from the tour companies are a bit steep, at arount 9,000 baht. I understand thats good value for a holiday maker but I dont need transport or packed lunch etc. What I could probably do with is a local guide with a boat. Does anyone know of such a person? Has anyone else fished for them? Anyone interested in coming along? Cheers Mark. Edited May 5, 2010 by markt7081

powderpuff
I am not as interested in hooking one of those huge rays but the water looks clean & I would love to know what other species can be caught in this river. I am used to going after crappie with minnows. I won't eat carp or catfish & thus not real interested in catching them. iI saw those rays on discovery channel; wingspan about 3 meters, they can fight. I always catch and release, i don't eat fish that i catch. In fact i eat only a few kinds of fish. I would be happy to catch one of those big ones. I saw series on it river monsters i believe it was called.
