Was on Thai TV that the 10yr old boy had been hanging around for a while and had been told by the soldiers many times to leave and go home but he would not go.

They said he was lying on the footpath or road and with the army shooting at the van tyres of a speeding van there ware bound to be some bullets flying around.

Not shooting wildly as some silly bugger sugested

If true the army is in a bad spot ... had the hauled the kid away to juvi jail then all the red sympathizers would be crying foul.

Ten killed in Thailand as police join Red Shirt protest

Apologies if this has already been posted.

According to the Daily Telegraph, police have joined the reds and have been fighting the army. They also emphasis that many soldiers are also sympathetic to the reds and have behaved as such.

It all sounds very ominous.

Full story:

here

Intereste to read this by some reporters that know even more than Nation reporters.

Many on here not like to read this truth but it there now and all know but not abhisit.

A taster is here

Shooting between police and army personnel was also reported at several locations, as policemen joined the side of the anti-government demonstrators.

The emergence of divided loyalties among members of the security services transformed the stand-off with Thailand's Red Shirt opposition into a crisis for the government.

I see some fool try to shoot messenger already. A yellow support man can critisize a paper like this and read the pap that nation feed him.

Din Daeng gone red again.

Udon Thani Town Hall under seige.

Convoys of Reds blocked from entering Bangkok about to get feisty!

Sure they got this contained at Rajprasong?

Ok , the governement will probably manage to disperse the Rajprasong gathering .

That remains to be see and few more deaths probably .

And then the reds will reappear somewhere else .

Then what ???

Then what was always going to be on the table no matter how this was dealt with.

Zeaolotry takes a long time to fade away, but can if not reinforced regularly.

Lets hope this doesn't take on the proportions of the old Communist inssurgence of Weng's day.

We know how THAT went down.

Instead of constantly criticising my posts, cheering flamers, and making cringe worthy sleazy come-ons to the female members of this forum, why don't you post something intelligent for a change ?

:D So rich coming from you. If you actually read what is being written here rusty, virtually everyone is critising your posts, you are truely a very troubled man person.

Priceless that you are asking me to post something intelligent :D:)

Why would thai police change to the red camp? Any suggestions?

Tacky being an ex cop.. Many in the police seen as being pro Tacky..

Not buying it yet. None of the Thai or foreign journalists have reported any police joining the reds so far, yet the Telegraph (published some 6,000km away) has made a headline out of it and only referring to the police twice in the entire article.

Let's see if any more reports on the same come through...

As much as I hate to do this, as it might be considered feeding the troll, would you kindly provide links for the first three lines? Because I have not seen any evidence of any of these on the media.

Not my fault my friend. some of them even appeared on here in the closed thread! some on a more reputable BANGKOK based english newspapers front page as well.

is ignorance bliss? Or do you get your wife to only let you see what will be palatable to you?

Oddly enough, I read all the closed threads very carefully. None appeared there.

I checked your suggestion about the BKK newspaper. It says the reds occupy one intersection in Din Daeng. One intersection does not a Din Daeng make.

Called a friend in Udon Thani. Very quiet.

My wife is a very competent, educated woman who has a mind of her own, thank you very much. She's the one with the friend in Udon Thani.

Ignorance may be bliss, but spreading of misinformation/disinformation is a violation of forum rules.

So, if you have links, post them. If not, you are nothing but a troll, and go on the ignore list.

Human shields are people that are neutral civilians and used by terrorists (i mean real terrorists) for protection .

Those women and elderly are not neutral , they are protesting on their own free will .

Nobody force them . This is a popular protest by people , and people do not only include

male 19-25 years old

Not a lie mate, ive saved it and will forward it on if i have to, to prove it.

Sorry mate, but you really shouldn't have sent it in the first place.

YOu are the one way off base.

Thaksin is calling for returning to the negotiation table. I would much rather have Thaksin calling the shots than this braindead moron Abhisit.

You would sooner have an Criminal as a leader ?

I don't care if the leader is a 3 legged monster. As long as he can do whatever it takes to bring this country closer to reconciliation then he will have my support.

Abhisit has been harping on about reconciliation but the country has only divided under his leadership. He should never have been PM.

This man is clearly delusional. Thaksin is the one who brought about the division, long, long before Abhisit was "in charge".

Here is the ONLY mention of police switching sides

Shooting between police and army personnel was also reported at several locations, as policemen joined the side of the anti-government demonstrators.

or

Observers believe many police officers are openly sympathetic to Mr Thaksin, who is a former policeman.

Reported by who somebody on ThaiVisa???

Another idiot statement ...

The Red Shirt leadership offered a truce to the government as the spirits of the estimated 6,000 protesters rose.

and the most idiotic of them all ...

There was no response from the government on new negotiations. Hardliners have vowed to seal off the camp, cutting electricity, water, mobile phones and food supplies, while preventing reinforcements arriving to boost numbers.

And I thought Fox news in the US was ignorant and Biased and lacked any real international reporting capabilities.

Quit your crying Farang.

You do not like the fight, Thailand does not care what you think.

You want cheap women and cheap beer, go somewhere else.

Thailand has a major fight on its hands and your nonsense about hating this group or that is dull.

Reds will win.

It might be in one week or 1 year or 3 years but they will win.

People who do not run when shot at are highly motivated. The Reds

Since most in the military are Reds, it is only a matter of time before the entire government regime collapses.

Bye Bye old way and hello new.

Quit your Red propoganda BS, farang.

Those "people who do not run when shot at" are mostly highly high on Ya Baa and/or sloshed on Sang Som and other cheap hooch!

Also highly high on Thaksin's paychecks and promises of more moolah when their bloddletting achieves what Tacky wants!

Also, of course, they're highly stoopid and highly brainwashed by deceitful, power-hungry cowards that are their so-called "leaders"!!!

It seems it's time to get pedantic with you pornsasi. So these Red Shirt/black shirt/Thais who are in a firefight with the military are by your definition 'not real terrorists"?

Here's a definition for starters:

ter·ror·ism

   /ˈtɛrəˌrɪzəm/ Show Spelled[ter-uh-riz-uhm] Show IPA

–noun

1.

the use of violence and threats to intimidate or coerce, esp. for political purposes.

2.

the state of fear and submission produced by terrorism or terrorization.

3.

a terroristic method of governing or of resisting a government.

Quantcast

terrorist

:)

ter·ror·ist

   /ˈtɛrərɪst/ Show Spelled[ter-er-ist] Show IPA

–noun

1.

a person, usually a member of a group, who uses or advocates terrorism.

2.

a person who terrorizes or frightens others.

3.

(formerly) a member of a political group in russia aiming at the demoralization of the government by terror.

4.

an agent or partisan of the revolutionary tribunal during the Reign of Terror in France.

Now, do you think these young or old Thai men out on the streets fighting the army are schoolchildren?

Or mnaybe they're just nice terrorists. If it walks like a duck...bla bla bla.!!!

Nobody wants dead bodies just an end to this. The only thing is that most of the posters on here will be shattered and disallusioned when the reds take control. Men dont run a live ammo with a sling shot for 500 baht a day. That happens bcos of years of being down trodden and seeing their parents with nothing after a lifetime of toil. The army needs to stand back now b4 they too get massacred.

Jerry --- you are Red. You have always excused the red threats of violence as "negotiations". You have failed to speak out against the red use of violence and instead have excused it as being needed for change and then added historical references to the French revolution AND to violent mobs using force as part of negotiations in France and other parts of Europe. It is when the reds get HURT that you speak about peace.

The reds had a great deal offered to them. They wanted elections. They wanted investigations into April 10th, they wanted and wanted. They were offered what they wanted then added more and would not go home. They called for violence and then vowed to fight to the death. You called it "negotiations". Now that they have the violence THEY called for from the red stage .......

Your claim to non-partisanship is not true --- one has only to read your posts. You are Red.

If asking for PEACE and no deaths is beeing red then I am red too and so is

most of the rest of the world , including a vast majority of thais .

Go on Jerry ....

sweet - way to align yourselves with a group using elderly woman and children as human shields. Hey shouldn't the "leaders" of your side be turning themselves in today?

Ahhhh but Jerry isn't for peace. Pornsasi is creating a strawman argument. Jerry has excused the violence on the part of the reds as part of "negotiation" and speaks of "PEACE" only when the violence and violent rhetoric of the reds comes back on the reds.

Face it --- the reds in BKK have been preaching violence from before the BKK rally began in March. Their leaders called for everything from burning the NACC down, to burning ALL of BKK down before a single shot was fired. They called for violence from BEFORE the state of Emergency. They attacked 1st Regiment and Thaicom with weapons BEFORE the government responded with any force. Jerry excused every event. He's not for peace, he's for Red peace.

A peaceful protest would come into BKK unarmed .... maybe even violate the law (civil disobedience) by camping in a major area like Rachprasong. They would sit down and let the police haul them off one by one and keep sending people in to get arrested. They would make PEACEFUL statements not violent statements.

That just isn't the Reds.

The reds have needed violence from the beginning to try and force a change in government. They instigated the violence on Apr 10th. They are armed. They aren't open to Negotiation and never have been. Thaksin needs new elections NOW. Thaksin is controlling what the reds do. (Check with Sae Daeng's public statements back when he was making them!)

BTW --- I am for Peace. That means the reds go home or disarm and move to a place that it is legal to protest in.
