Phuket Airport To Khao Lak

Saw an old post for this subject from last year, but was wondering if there are any updates. Any new mode of transportation from Phuket to Khao Lak? Prefer to leave directly without going to Phuket Town.

Thanks!

Not that I heard of anything. Public Bus from Phuket town, or book a fenzy Hotel, they transport you sure for free.

Take a Taxi when you can afford it, has cheaper Meter Taxis-but maybe Fix price to Kao Lak-outside the Arrival Terminal on your right hand side.

At the end of the Terminal.

Hey,

I know someone who would be happy to arrange a private transfer from Phuket airport to Khao Lak for 4000 baht.

Other alternative (as mentioned by other member) to book an upper market resort, they will pick you up for a charge/free of charge depending on the resort.

Thanks for the info!

Maybe will look for an alternative destination instead!

Please don’t worry. There are so many vans or minibus driving direct from the airport to Khao Lak.

When you arrive, leave all the money maker behind you, Go outside of the airport and you’ll get a cheap ride to your destination. No problem at all. Never listen to a 4,000 baht offer!!!!

You'll find breath taking beaches at Bang Sak, from cheap to very expensive resorts or bungalows. It's on the way to Takua Pa. Please google it, a wonderful place. only a few k's away from khao Lak. Like Paradise. Good luck.

Sorry, but you deserve your name in your avatar. Farangkeenok means foreigner has no money, not meaning cheap Charley. How can you post such a 4,000 baht offer? You can fly from Phuket to Bangkok and back for this amount. I'm glad that you don't live here.

You not think, -farangkeenok- (look at his name) he is just joking? ;-)

A small transport problem should not make you change your plans so fast!

As -steven- posted, a good alternative, let call somebody who speaks Thai, as it is possibly not so easy in English and get Information when busus pass by the Highway near the airpoort, go than with Taxi there and stop the Bus (Ranong Bus for example) -maybe the Bus driver can be advised to look for you on the road.

The way back from Kaoh Lak can going on in the same way.

Another possibility, check for a rent a car which you can drive up to Kaoh Lak (use for some days) and give back there at another office of the company for free (after 1 week rent) or for a small amount of money after a shorter time. You can look around to RANONG-make a trip to MYANMAR-Kaowthung village or the ANSAMAN Casino Island, visit the Hot springs there, ect.

Have a nice trip.

Im sorry gentlemen, I have not been competely clear in my post. 4,000 baht would be for a return transfer by new private car with English speaking driver.

I did not in anyway mean to offer a taxi rent for 4,000 baht one way.

Just gave an answer to the question, not to make money off anybody. And yes, there are cheaper options out there.

Thanks
