I'm looking at sockets and switches for the house now. The distributor I'm using to purchase my consumer unit offers a wide line of clipsal products. I have been looking at two lines of clipsal products,C-Concept and C-Flexi sockets and switches. Anybody have any comments on these products?

Clipsal are a respected global supplier of things electrical. As such any product should meet international standards.

They do however have low, medium and high end products. It's worth examining the items you wish to buy, you really can tell a lot be looking and feeling :)

I have several power panels and although they do not appear to be built "like a Mack" as Americans would say they do seem to work OK. But kind of a shock when alongside Square D equipment (which seems much more heavy duty). I have never been a fan of mini wall switches so using the normal National/Panasonic myself.

Only time will tell if I made wise choices or not.

I think (?) I got a good deal on everything, 40% off list prices.

I went with Square D eqiupment as it is a known name and should make things easier if I need to switch things out.

The sockets, switches, light dimmers, fan switches etc., look like they will fit nice. I don't want the wall faceplates looking like some kind of large control center. Again the price was right and if I do find out that they don't work so well, I can change them out over time. I want quality products that are safe, but I don't need to have the top of the line.

I have gotten alot of good and not so good advice from you guys, let's hope I made some wise choices, only time will tell.
