well dont know why because its only 10.30am, but i could murder a pork pie wright now! along with some branston pickle and colemans english mustard.

so what foods on your mind at this very moment in time.

maybe youve been out on the beer and fancy a doner kebab or even a deep fried mars bar. or down buy the beach all day and fancy nibble on some pistachio nuts.a good old curry at you favourite indian restaurant. whatever!

theres just something from back home that youve got a craving urge to eat and you cant get it out of your mind.

Many years ago I used to be in the military based in Norfolk and my local pub was the Ostrich at Weasenham St Peter.

They used to do a pork pie that was about a pound in weight (500 grams in old money) and they also sold Lakens Old Heavy beer. :D

A good strong dark beer and 4 was enough for me.

I could just go for one of their pies now but not the beer.

I was also careful not to play domionos with the old farm labourers for beer as I always lost.

Steak. A quality slab of NZ or Oz beef. I had some local 'beef' wuua last week, a jawbreaker.

If anyone can suggest a good simple way to tenderise I'd appreciate it, not much choice out here diet-wise.

I had a chocolate craving a while back, friend brought me a block from nz. used to be able to demolish a 250g block of the dark - 72% pure - stuff, but a few chunks almost made me sick.

Best way to tenderize a Thai beef steak is to mash up a ripe Papaye in the Som Tom maker, cover steak completely in refrigerator for 24 hours, don't marinate for more than 24 hours or it might become mushy.

yes those were the days!

catching the coach link in the morning on international day(wales v england).

after a night out along the kingsway in swansea, followed by a curry.

ahhh! the feeling you got as you entered cardiff city centre, just a sea of red welsh rugby shirts. pubs open at 10am! the boys loosening their vocal chords to the tune of "land of my father" and singing where us english could shove our chariots.

nothing like hearing the welsh national anthem, even as an englishman it made the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end.

then after the game was over we would either stay in cardiff or catch the coach back to swansea and do the mumbles mile pub crawl.

miss it like crazy!

i decided to take a trip out to prawet yesterday and ive just polished of two rounds of cumberland sausage sarnies.

best banger ive tasted in all my time spent in los!

highly recommend this place if you have a craving for something from back home.

I'll be passing through Borough market this morning for a bacon sausage and egg sarnie.....a few pork pies in my bag for watching the footie later.
