Come On Thailand

How about the complaining ex Pats that I read about every day, who bash Thailand and Thai people to bits and complain about everything that does not go there way, who complain about the most pathetic things get a grip and think about how their lives would be back in there country. If you do not like the system here (and I agree they make it very hard here for us) then maybe Thailand is not for you. You guys who bitch about everything, maybe you should see what it is like in your back yard in your country. Give the Thais a break! They are not perfect, and neither are us...take a look at your own country...I did, and I for one, do not want to go back to Australia to live. For all the difficulties that we here...I would not change a thing. Lets help Thailand get on its feet again...stop knocking it!

They are all too busy at the moment creating divisions with name calling, abuse hurling, factual inaccuracy, conjecture, opinions and presumptions......

All which create discussion without resolution......the perfect circle.....

But I doubt Thailand is too interested in what a thousand idle fingers are filling their time with!!

The Thai have to resolve this situation and move forward

After 8 years in Thailand i was not feeling happy anymore so i moved to cambodia , after 2 years there i am now moving to Laos. I was thinking about coming back to Thailand but with the current problems i changed my mind.

I agree with you if you don't like Thailand and/or Thai people just leave. But i am not sure that there will be a new masse of retired people coming to Thailand now.

The insurection and the exchange rate will deter people from coming to the Land Of Scams. And all the retired expats will go see bouddha one by one giving their condos or houses to their beloved Thai GF/Wife.

I have been here for 10 years and I love Thailand and its people. I have no intention of moving anywhere.

I just came back from Mexico and the US nice place to visit but not to live any more, Mexico violence as gangs battle for the lucrative US drug market and the expensive life in the US, some cheap food items but that is it.

Thailand is my home and I will be respecting her laws!

Very well said, there is far too much complaining on this forum, and frequently from the same members with huge post counts. Live and let live, enjoy the country. Your own country of origin is still there and an occasional return to it helps to maintain the perspective.

I have definitely not given up on Thailand. As screwed up as it is right now so far these problems have been internal to Thailand and the Farang situation in Thailand has not really changed. As long as I am a hansum man in Thailand I will keep coming.

Lots of good posts here.. lots make sense and some are what they are.. When I first came her on March 15th 1994.. I LOVED Thailand.. I had not learned the "<deleted>" of Thailand at that point.. all about the two faced way the Thai treat ALL westerners..

Yes, the food is great sometimes.. but so is the Mexican food at Miguel's and Thanksgiving and Cristmas dinners at the Duke's as well.. Thank who for all the Rimping markets?? and Pat at California Roll for her 2 eggs over easy and hash browns that actually are or is what it is.. I like noodles sometimes... but not everyday for breakfast..lunch and dinner.. I would love to get a real and honest hug and cuddle from a REAL woman.. who has a real pair.. and real kisses for love and not for the money only.. Yes, the foot massages are the best part I think in Thailand.. along with the all body massage.. but the sex part is really better with Brazilian, Italian, Mexican, and French girls.. Argentino girls too.. Asian woman are just not as fine as a good Cuban or PR girl for sure.. I have had many women from over 74 different cultures/countries.. the Thai have a lot to learn... but this is all we can get so they can be very pleasing to the eye when that is all you can get... Cars?/ That is the sad part.. No real custom cars here.. as there is no market so I miss America for the bike and car part of life... I miss a lot for the USA and wished I had the money to just keep moving to place all over the world like the leader of these RED SHIRTS has.. But i could not kill and steal and lie my way as he did.. so i am stuck with what we can get here.. and let me tell you it is not bad compared to all that <deleted> elsewhere..

I bitch about these morons and uneducated nitwits a lot as of late... a lot more than I did when i first got here.. they are dishonest and they LIE about nearly everything.. but I will also say.. Thailand is better than those other places over all.. NO SNOW, NO TORNADOS... This is heaven for me... now... at 63 (Somedays!!!)
