Anyone know when an A380 is parked at BKK? I think Emirates and Singapore have them out of BKK, but every time I'm at the airport to sightings. Anyone know the schedule?

The A380 arrives daily on Emirates route from Dubai it arrives at Suvarnabhumi as flight EK372 at 7pm and is turned around back to Dubai as EK373 leaving at 9:25pm. So it is not on the ground here for very long, presumably why you have missed seeing it.

If it's Emirates, it's probably late! Nice planes but biggest bunch of TO**ERS I've ever had the misfortune to fly with. Used them a couple of times and problems everytime..... Never again!

a bunch of tossers? one of the fastest growing airlines in the world. I have flown them many times without incident. :)

Your lucky mate. Qatar for me from now I think, far better service and you get looked after much better when they cock things up. Doesn't seem to happen very often with them but that's off topic and just my opinion lol

Hmmmm.. I was there last night at 7:30pm until almost 9pm and never saw it...and I was looking for it at the international terminal...either it was late or I need glasses!

I'm guessing if i was at the right place outside the airport I could see it land?! Is there an observation platform for landing planes at BKK?

Count me in as an Emirates supporter. Qatar is good, but Emirates food is better and their in flight entertainment is world class. I like the touch that Emirates use real cutlery on the BKK to Dubai route. Makes it a Club class service. Only downside to Emirates is their flight crew - same as all the middle east airline crews - polyglot racially and they don't function well as a team, so they don't seem to enjoy their work.

Also those big A380 buses are very comfortable, but you have to wait about an hour to get out of economy when it lands; an exaggeration of course but you will notice the difference - do not get up when the seat belt signs go on!!

Aye, I've got a lot of time Emirates. Once missed my flight due to my own mistake- thinking it was a day later than it was. Phoned them to explain, they just put me on the flight for the next evening, no charge, no hassle.

When Swampy shut Emirates re-routed me via Singapore, Colombo, Dubai for free. They also fly from provincial airports in the UK so no need for the Heathrow trek.

Singapore Airlines A380 at this stage do not go to BKK.

They fly to other airports around the world.

They do not have the need to fly so many passengers to BKK.

Their other planes can service these flights from Singapore.

Correct me if i am wrong.

Hey Grawburg,

I don't know about the times but that A380 is some piece of engineering. I used to live under the flightpath into Heathrow and could only marvel at the A380 every time it flew over, it made the 747 look a little on the small side and it's so much quieter. You should check out the youtube footage of the footage from the camera on the tail fin that you can see on the onboard flight entertainment, it's pretty spectacular looking down over the body and wings as it flies through the skies.

Enjoy the beast :)

I am flying to Dubai tonight on the A380 with Emirates. I upgraded from business to first just for this flight! Probably the only time I will ever fly First Class!

Ooops I mean tomorrow night!
