Rob8891
You're really nailing these bugs, Goompa. Well done )I just have this mental image of you crawling around on all fours, squinting through the camera.....a latter day Great White Hunter on safari.)
Goompa
Thanks Rob , I appreciate your fantasy but truth be known ... to all now I guess , this is just a bit of fun and getting to know the camera settings . Trying to get a composed image , in camera , without editing , . These little micro 4/3 cameras are great but they have a lot of menu settings I just cannot adapt to , seems as though one has to configure the camera to be able to shoot in one's style , and they are small as well. I really admire those that can make a great image from macro photography , and as Fractured Rabbit has said that one in 10 is a keeper , well something along those lines , I now understand. As for crawling around on all fours , heck , been doing it for years , but for different reasons
Rob8891
Don't do yourself down, mate. If you chuck 9 for each one you've posted, then in my book these results are well worth it, especially on an island where just about every living creature is out to bite you, sting you, poison you or just generally spoil your day.. Stunning photography! Well done Goompa.

Popular Post Goompa
About a week ago I posted a photo of a young Stick Insect that took up residence on our Basil plants , seems he /she is still hanging around. We have many different Basil plants and I have noticed that the ones that collect the most insect life are the ones used for Green Curry , Bride calls this " Holapaa " They don't seem to eat this plant the same as they do the English variety , the plant is very fragrant and all the bugs just seem to chill out and procreate on the bush The grubs and caterpillars just munch the bejeezus out of the English ones though , but I although I am not Goompa Attenborough , still find it puzzling ! 2 shots of Stanley , or Stella the Stick Insect . Damn that doctor never increased my medication this month ! Really chilled out insects these guys

Popular Post Robby nz
This green snake was less than a meter from a busy walking track in Nam Tok San Lan National Park, we saw it on the way up and on the way back so it stayed in the same place for at least an hour. Don't know what the reaction would have been if the many chattering con Thai who passed in that time had seen it.
sunshine51
Best to give that critter a wide berth Robby....quick look at it tells me either it's the white lipped pit viper or the bamboo pit viper....not lethal in a cobra or krait is lethal kinda way but it sure will ruin your day. Happy Holidays & Stay Safe
