Aladin's Lamps are on the second floor of Airport Plaza right in front of Robinson s entrance. You can call Khun Narit on 0814267700 or long onto www.aladinslamps.4t.com Their lamps and shades are certainly inexpensive by western standards but not cheap in any sense of the word.

There's an air-conditioned lamp and shade shop not too far south of Wat Phra Singh. From the front gate of the Wat (on SamLan Road) go south to the stop-and-go lights just beyond the Phra Singh Post Office. Turn right (west onto Ratchamanka Road); the lamp shop is located about 100 meters on the left (south) side of the street. I've not been in there, so I don't know about their pricing.
