What Are You Paying For Units?

What's everyone paying for a unit of water and electricity?

I'm moving to Phuket Town next month (from Karon) and am doing some research. My previous apartment included everything.

The place I'm thinking of charges 5 baht for electricity and 20baht for water, after the first 15 units. I'm guessing I'll be somewhere between 200-500 baht / month (rarely AC, home cooking, TV, internet, daily showers) ?

The above info was based on another thread, which seemed to indicate the charges were also very reasonable (thread was in Pattaya though).

I'm paying my landlord 4B per unit for electricity. The actual rate is around 3.75 or so. This is the residential rate. The commercial rate is higher. Landlords overcharging for power seems to be a common practice.

Several threads on this subject already, but the rate for residential electricity, unit price increases with number of units per month. My average to PEA is 4,10 in low season and 4,30 in high season. 3k to 12k/month per property.

The commercial rate with large 3phase meters and 2 prices per 24 hours is usually LOWER. I have one such, and we average 3,75 baht/kwh.

For a rental with power and water payed to landlord, 5 baht for power and 20 baht for water is very reasonable.

My mistake, thanks for the update.

Thanks for the replies. Yes, it was among the lower ones I've inquired about and much lower than what I've seen in the Pattaya forum. Now I just have to figure out if I really want to move back.
