just curious and always wondered what happens in this time frame. i can usually get into the forum pretty easily, but for some reason around these times i can never gain any access.

i dont think its the browser or network that i use, because i can surf the net as i like and log into other areas. ie facebook, hotmail and other sites.

is there some kind of maintenance that goes on around this time?

At that time the system normally does some house cleaning and generates a backup of the forum database.
