Hi

I have a TOT land line and TT&T or BBB internet, i never use my land line and always late to pay the bill, do i need the landline from TOT to keep the internet running from TT&T? otherwise i will just close my land line down.

Thanks

I would think you need to pay the 107 baht/month line rental to TOT. Else they will assign your line to someone else.

In Phuket town Villa 5 you can cansell the TOT line with phonenumber, and simply keep ADSL line to be payed to 3bb only. Not sure its same for us out in the bushes though

I must check this out as we have a number of lines used for data only and have always paid the 107 baht line rent each month (for many many years).

Hi HDRIDER, is technically possible to have the 3BB ADSL without the landline, last month i switched from TOT to 3BB and they brought to my house a new cable dedicated to the internet connection. In your case if the 3BB ADSL is tight to a TOT telephone number they will probably ask you to end the old 3BB subscription and make a new contract. This could be a pain and imply downtime, you know how things works here  . Try to call 3BB's support and see if it worth the hassle.

You can pay advance for a year or more. If you loose the number, it can be hard to get a new one in case you want to sell your house

I also only have a ADSL line, so no TOT necessary. Also in Villa 5 :D

Well i went to BBB (TT&T is no more for internet) asked if i could keep my internet without phone, answer was,,, maybe that was all they could give me, then i went to TOT as they are the one with the line, asked them the same, just a wild look at me and then “we don’t know go to TT&T” but you have the line,,, “no you have to go to TT&T” OK went to TT&T and they told me i had to pay for 2 months i told them they never send me a bill,,, and why is it a TOT line if i have to pay you,,, no answer, so i told them to close the line, i started to get pissed off, so now we will see if i also lose my internet, what a day TIT

I stopped paying mine a year ago and it didn't effect my internet. The phone line quality was shit, unusable. At the time my internet was screaming fast and stable and I didn't want to complain about the phone line for fear they would eff up my internet. Now 3BB's taken over and everything is to shit again.
