Blu Ray Movies In Bangkok

Featured Replies

where can i buy them and how much do they cost? original or the other alternative will do too, looking for the latter.

I think that most of the legal DVD shops in shopping malls now have a small section for Blu Ray (and we can expect that section to get bigger and bigger, and the choice better). I pay about 800 baht for an original one. The shop with the scorpion (Maprong?) is a good example, and they are everywhere.

I do not advice getting the copied ones as they might not be what you think. One of my friends gave me some Blu Ray disks including a pirated one; the box and disc label say Blu Ray but it is in fact just a normal DVD. I do not know a way, with my naked eyes, to differentiate between DVD and Blu Ray discs.

Enjoy the movie!

If you want the real deal they have them at just about any Mangpong store. Depending on the movie or if its an import, it can cost anywhere between 900-1200 thb.

As for the comment above I do agree that there are some places that sell so call copied "blu ray" movies, when in reality they are just DV 9.

I found a website that sell really good qaulitiy copied blu ray movies for 350-550 depending if its 25 or 50gb. Only down side is that 90% they can oly play using a PS3, but depeneding on the movie some play using a bu ray player. But since I have a PS3 its not a problem for me, so I now I only buy copied blu ray.

PM me if you want more information.
