You have 2 options.

# a torch head that fits on the standard gas can used for stovetop cooking. can find in restaurant supply stores, but not all stores have it. http://tendercrumb.blogspot.com/2008/09/twd-creme-brulee.html

# is a butane refillable torch, basically a big cigarette lighter. must refill and above is more cost efficient and one tank lasts longer, albeit above tank is bigger.

http://sumoyoo.com/creme-brulee-torch sold at MBK gadget shops, look on same floor as cell phones

either can also lite cigars quite well

Maybe try 75 in Bophut / Maenam , or Nathon next to fresh food market & 7/11, there is a shop with heaps of crockery & kitchen supplies.

Lots of bins out the front.

75 in Mae Nam or Sanpetch Market in Nathon.

If you can't find it on Samui you can order online from verasu.com

All joking aside, I have used the heat gun to roast green coffee beans with quite good results. May also work for creme brulee??
