been looking for creme brulee torch,,,any ideas, tried the obvious, on place offered me a fire extinguisher lol !!!!

You have 2 options.

# is a butane refillable torch, basically a big cigarette lighter. must refill and above is more cost efficient and one tank lasts longer, albeit above tank is bigger.

All joking aside, I have used the heat gun to roast green coffee beans with quite good results. May also work for creme brulee??

In bangkok yaowarat (chinatown) at klong tom area saw many of these. self contained refillable unit asking 350 bat. head for butane tank about 800 bat (korea import)
