Chaweng just got buzzed three times by a tidy looking piece of flying kit. It had twin tails so could have been an F18 Hornet or the new F35 both of which Thailand does not have. Any air buffs out there ?

They come from the Air base at Suratthani.

The 7th Wing is an interceptor and attack wing based at RTAFB Surat Thani in Suratthani province.

But no twin tail, nor is it's replacement, Gripens.

Unless it's visiting from somewhere else.

i saw it from my house which over looks the airport and it went over the runway twice, and very low, then did a very nice turn at the end of runway!

on a non too secret mission to exterminate all Samui Billboards with infer red heat seeking missiles ..... would explain the ' collasped construction ' in chaweng last night, as there was a billboard nr there... but as it was late at night BigC probably had to much to drink and aimed incorrectly

About same time here in Chaweng, Laem Din Area too.... very,very low flying... but then it's friday - German national football team player Mr. Schweinsteiger and acquaintance are on samui too...

it was curcling round then through bangkok airways airport then looping again. i have it on video on my phone. i was waiting to bored a plane. it came in close to the runway with that bomb facing the ground and no wheels down. it surfaced very low to the ground. had a miss caluculation or a gust of wind then back. no more bigc posts. that would have been fun. out in style.
