Muay Thai In Bangkok

Featured Replies

Have any of you guys been to watch the Muay Thai in Bangkok?

Lumpini on Tue, Fri 18.00-22.00 and Sat 17.00-24.30

Ratchadamnoen on Mom, Wed, Thu 18.00-21.00 and Sun 17.00-21.00

If so which place would you recommend and whats the farang price as i've hear its a little extreme for us tourists!!

I've been to Lumpini.

Good fun but a bit pricey. About 1500 IIRC?

Both those stadiums are an absolute rip off for farangs, tickets were 2500 baht last time I went. You'd be better off going to Omnoi stadium on Saturday afternoons which is 200 baht or going to the channel 7 stadium on Sundays which is free.

I concur with KCMT - Omnoi and Channel 7 are where I would go.

Forget lumpini and raja.....I find it disgracefully ignorant that they think it is acceptable to charge this price. Written in Thai it is 200 baht per person. Even foreigners that have fought at the stadium are not allowed in at the normal price. Living here, speaking Thai, paying tax and earning normal Thai wages doesn't even get you in at the normal price...if you have white skin. Trying to reason with them is a complete waste of time. If they allowed foreigners to go in for the normal price I would be there every week along with many other people I know instead of us all boycotting the place.

Went often to Lumpini paid years ago 500 B after 1000 B and now 1500, agree fully with you and next time will go to the other two places.

Hope they have good games as well,

Cheers

To get to the channel 7 stadium, get the skytrain to Mor Chit.

Most of the people will be heading to Jatujak market, you want to be heading in the opposite direction, and on the opposite side of the road walking away from the market.

The road is called, Phahonyothin rd, you want to turn right into soi 18/1, follow the road round to the right hand side, the channel 7 building is on your left hand side.

Just follow the crowds heading in that direction, at that time on a Sunday the only place they will be headed is the channel 7 building.

The action starts about 2 in the afternoon, if you want a seat get there just after 1, or you will find yourself having to stand in the back of the hall.

The boxing takes place inside the BBTV (channel 7) company building.

A search on google maps will show the BBTV building just to the right of Mor Chit skytrain stop.
