Neither high nor low levels of testosterone have been proven to "cause" cancer of the prostate. Important to understand the difference between correllation and causation. Lower levels of testosterone are associated with a number of things that are also associated with increased incidence of prostate cancer so naturally there will also be a higher incidence of prostate cancer in populations with lower levels of testosterone. Does not mean that low testosterone causes the cancer and certainly does not mean that testosterone supplements will prevent cancer.

The big concern with testosterone supplementation is not that it will cause prostate cancer but that it may enhance the growth of cancer if already present, hence it is important to screen for this before starting supplementation and to sure to have yearly checks thereafter. (Most men requiring testosterine supplementation will be of an age where this is advisable in any case).

OP, you need to determine if your man boobs are the result of gynemastia, a condition in which actual breast tissue is present, or just fat. If it's just fat, liposuction is an option. If it's gynemastia, should check testosterone levels and possibly go on testosterone replacment, after screening for prostate cancer (PSA, manual exam). This is assuming there is not another cause e.g. certain medications which are known to cause this. See a doctor.

Contrary to what some have said, testosterone is not "illegal" in Thailand and a wide range of oral and injectable prepartions are approved for use here. Some are OTC and some are prescription only from a hospital pharmacy. In any case, such supplementation should be done under medical supervision, though, inclusive of screening for prostate cancer, liver function tests etc and a check of baseline testosterone levels.

What is not here yet is topical preparation (gel), although I wouldn't be surprised if some of the anti-aging clinics are compounding their own.

Thanks guys, I guess I just have to be patient and wait it out... I am slimming down a bit faster than I like now... I have virtually cut the coke all out and drink too much water now... I do have my bad days, but that is just around pay day (too many coins in my pocket at that time)...

Keep running (15k in one go now)... And try to eat healty- as I am doing... (well, it is better than before)...

Which exercise is best for targeting the pecks??? (Pls. dont say push ups)... I hate them!!!

Bench press - normal, decline and incline target the pecks great. It'll build muscle mass but not reduce the fat there...

The running / calorie deficit will help your man boobs in time. As long as you continue making positive progress it'll happen.

All the bodybuilders with money to waste on supplements will object to what I say here but the truth is almost ALL testosterone boosting supplements are quackery. (There are some creams that actually have testosterone in them. The jury is still out on whether they are effective.) They may make you feel better but it's almost all placebo effect. The muscle men may claim their levels have improved but, unless they're spending a second fortune having their hormone levels measured at the lab, they don't know what they're talking about.

There are only two proven ways to increase your testosterone levels. Needles will deliver the hormone (hopefully under medical supervision) but be careful what you wish for. Increased testosterone causes increased body hair, acne, sweating, dizziness, sensitive testicles and can help you grow a tennis ball-sized prostate gland. Oh, and some men have an additional effect you definitely do not want - gynecomastia - bigger man boobs!

Oh, the other way? Sex. Especially the non-marital kind. Some research has shown that just getting an erection from watching porn can increase your testosterone levels by a couple hundred percent!!! My advice? Watch a good porn video just prior to working out. Or find some strange - though that may be difficult to fit into your exercise routine. (Wham, bam, thank you ma'am, now I gotta run - no really I gotta run!) Sadly, sex with a long-time partner does not seem to promote the dopamine levels that stimulate testosterone production. On the other hand, that long-time partner probably will be a lot more accepting of those man boobs in the first place.

By the way, starting at around 30, you naturally lose about 1% of your testosterone production every year. Things that help you lose testosterone include: obesity, diabetes, binge drinking or outright alcoholism and vegetarianism, to name a few.

So I have started to do push ups in the morning and evening along with some situps...

I do 5 sets of 20 situps and 5 sets of 20 "girly" style push ups... I feel that lots of repetition is better than 20 hard fought real push ups... Anyways, the body can really feel it and I think it is working... Just have to keep on working...

I had to knock another hole in my belt as well... THat is always nice..

Hard 20 fought is more effective than 20 easy ones.

Like 5 sets of 5 squats (with heavy weight) will increase your leg and core strength really fast. High repetitions only creates minimal gains in strength, but more gains in endurance.

The most effective reps for strength are when you can barely push out the last rep after 5 or 10, although for core exercises make that 20

I am now trying to do the last 20 with real push ups... Depending on what I have done that day on how successful that is :-) but atleast they are easier now...

Start light and increase the weight later... Seems to be working for me..

BUT

since someone suggested that 20 real is better than my 100 girly... I will for the next week, only do real push ups... 20 in the morning and 20 in the evening- see if there is a difference (I should feel it very quick)...

I have been happy with the results of a, probably rubbish, cheaper Tribulus - £15 at a British hight street health food chain and not Bulgarian and probably not leaf. Mediherb is about 2X that price. Who cares if it doesn't actually work - I think it does and that's what's important.

Will definitely try the real McCoy now though to see whether it's even better, so thanks for the postings.

Just a small follow up...

My 20 real push ups makes me tired but not near enough as tired as my 100 girly push ups... I will return to them and have a better work out... (It alos hurt less on my elbows and wrists)...

Thanks anyway but I will just use more time to get done with this...

Regarding the best way to reduce man boobs, by far the best way to burn fat is cardio.

Not just normal cardio. You could run for 15 K for 12 months and see results, but for quick results you need to do interval cardio.

Jog 1 min, Sprint 1 min, Jog 1 min, Sprint 1 min

15 minutes of this (or even 10 min) you will see results fast. As long as you have a few minutes warm up / down either side you should be able to do this every other day.

Interval training tricks the body into working harder / faster even when you are jogging / resting and even sleeping.

Interval Training + a slight healthy diet will do the trick

You can reward yourself with some push ups after ;)

The harder pushups tear your muscles more, making them stronger. The 100 girly pushups will be better cardio, but maximum reps of real pushups will be better for strength gains. Once you can do 20 real pushups, add weight to your upper back like a 10kg plate.

If your wrists hurt you can do them on your knuckles.

Another thing to consider with this condition is trying to get rid of the bad estrogens in the body.

There are a few products out there like DIM and others that get rid of the bad estrogens from the system.

What the hel_l is a bad estrogen? Estrogen is an estrogen, it has a specific molecular structure so there can't be good or bad versions of it, there is only one.

Man need SOME of it in their bodies to function properly, but too much of it is definetelly not good. As I mentioned in my previous post (on a first page) there is ways to reduce it.

Some other drugs can get rid of nearly 100% of it in your body but that is just not a good idea, it will have an impact on your immune system as well as your man tool may stop functioning. :D

To the OP. To build strength and muscles, you have to work with heavy weights. I would say even your set of 20 isn't hard enough that is if your 20 is all you can do with the given weights. If you can keep doing them after 20 but you stop just because you reached your 20 mark - you are not working with heavy enough weights. I recommend you do 10-15 reps MAX. After you done your first set of 10-15, take a minute brake to recover and do it again, and again until you can only get 5 reps so it should be about 3-5 sets before you get to 5 reps. Believe me, this way you will feel tired and sore. No pain no gain!

Reading this post i see many different opinions and suggestions as to how the OP should lose his "man boobs".

Increasing his testosterone level is suggested as a way to make him lose fat, strength training focusing mainly on his pecks is suggested.

This is all decent advice, but in the end it will do little to nothing to help the OP with his quest of losing his boobs.

Obviously the boobs are bothering the OP to a level where he feels it is necessary to post on TV for some advice.

This is the first step it is called motivation. The second step would be to map out a detailed plan on how to achieve this goal.

This should focus on nutrition as much as on exercise.

Based on his activity level, weight and body type he should calculate an estimated daily calorie usage.

From this amount he should deduct around 500-600 calories to determine his daily calorie intake, in effect creating a calorie deficit.

His diet should consist of approximately 35% carbohydrates, 45% protein and 20% fat (healthy unsaturated fat, from example from nuts or olive oil). This should be divided over 4-6 small meals daily.

In addition he needs to do a minimum of 30-40 minutes of cardiovascular exercise three times a week and a light weight training program to strengthen his muscles.

Keep this up for 2 months are you will see the results that you want. Don't be to serious about and just do it. You can take an off day from your diet once every two weeks to stay motivated.

To answer your original question: There is no fast way. It takes time, effort and dedication. Forget about testosterone boosters, your testosterone levels will increase accordingly to your physical fitness. The only supplement you should consider is protein powder. If you do not want to join a gym you can use your own body weight for strength training.

You should really start to think of this as a longer term project and in the meantime take full advantage of your new found spirit and energy to improve your fitness.

Good luck and let us know the results two months from now.

Lucky for me, I'll never have such an issue. I've been 150 lbs or less since I was 17 (6' tall). Am now 134 lbs. (upper 50's in age) - yes, too thin - yet fit. I go climbing rocks solo and never get winded, even after hours of straight up climbing and traversing. My physical hang-up is hay fever, but that's another story.

Good luck with lessening your 'man boobs.'

Not to increase anymore testosterone before you check on your estrogen level. As men age, more hormone is being converted to estrogen, some extremes are the results of "bitch tits" You need to minimise the hormone that is being converted to estrogen.Shurup has a very good point, and sometimes it is irreversible, that is to say you need to get them surgically removed, but if you do not take any anti estrogen drug, you will have them back again. More can be found on the internet, do more research.

Is it the mini liposuction treatment (injection of a medication called phosphatidyl choline (PPC) into the fat layers beneath the skin that destroy fat cells in the area in which it is injected) available in some Bangkok clinics advisable and suitable for mild cases of gynecomastia or surgery is the only solution?

If his man boobs are the result of gyno, then the lipo won't do the trick as it's the breast tissue and not the fat. In this case surgery is the only option.

You cannot do SPOT REDUCTION as already mentioned here, 4 things will work

1. DIET

2. As much CARDIO as possible

3. Controlled sensible weight training

4. Repeat steps 1-3

If you can continue with this & be patient the MOOBS will go....

180 cn and 60kg from what i have read, you are at a min 5kg underwight, what percentage is your body fat? I am 185 cn and now 98kg with too much body fat around the belly, i have dropped from 153kg over the last 18 mo. with cardio and weight training and now a better food choice but i am still not sure what my target weight should be because i have been bulking up with the free weights, some charts say a min of 65kg to a max 86k so my target is 86. the one lesson i have learned along the way is patience and persistance.

I would not worry too much about what the charts say, if you're dieting & training correctly with a good amount of rest then your body weight will sort itself out.....

A lot of the charts here are misleading because they are for asians, westerners have completely different genetics.

You should always strive for a body fat percentage not a weight. I am 96 ultimately i want to be below 90. But i am already in good shape. I just want a clear six pack. I got loads of muscle because i train hard. Not unlike most people in the gym. I don't use machines barbells only. im 180 cm or 6ft. When you got loads of muscle from working out the charts don't apply anymore.
