webfact
Deputy PM Orders Tighter Security in Capital The deputy prime minister in charge of national security has ordered security authorities to keep a close watch on the situation after having received a report that there is a possibility of more attacks in Bangkok. Deputy Prime Minister in Charge of the National Security, Suthep Thaugsuban commented on an intelligence report which states that more attacks could take place in many commercial areas such as the Silom and Yaowaraj districts in Bangkok. Suthep indicated that he has ordered security authorities to gather information about the situation and to keep a close eye on suspicious groups. Suthep is urging officials to be extra cautious, but says they should not be overly concerned about the report. He has also asked everyone to work harder to prevent additional incidents. When asked about General Chaovalit Yongchaiyudh, a leader of Pheu Thai Party, who recently denied involvement in the attacks, Suthep refused to comment, claiming that he did not want to fuel speculations. The deputy prime minister also pointed out that the issue of emergency decree revocation is not on the agenda for the Cabinet meeting today. However, the Cabinet is willing to consider any proposals submitted by security officials. Suthep also announced that the Center for the Resolution of Emergency Situation will continue to distribute CDs that clarify the facts about the violence that occurred during the red-shirt rally to the public, despite opposition from some senators. The deputy prime minister believes that this move will prevent the anti-government movement from distorting the truth for the public. On the panel to investigate deaths inside Pathum Wanaram Temple, which was a designated safe area during the red-shirt rally, Suthep refuses to comment until he has reviewed all of the official documents. -- Tan Network 2010-08-

Thai at Heart
How tight do they want? The SOE is still in and it still didn't stop the last attack at Big C. Face it guys, they don't have the resources, ability, plans or strategy to be able to stop an attack should someone want to carry one out be it big or small. All the SOE is being used to do is to prevent protest, legitimate or illegitimate. The longer they keep the top on the bottle, the bigger the fizz is going to be when someone takes the bottle off. You have not been to Sukhumvit 40 (UNESO office) lately. protesters shut off 2 road lanes to . . . . protest.

peacefulwarrior
Possibly more attacks M79 grenade found in backyard of government house Don't panic More surveillance on the way Stay alert Watch your community Emergency regulations stay in place - Sounds more like a written script to me and fear mongering than anything 'real'. The red's are crushed and hated now in Bangkok at least and never have they officially resorted to those attacks that seem completely random and much to unprofessional to be done by terrorists. This whole Agenda is a copy of the war of terror which is portrayed worldwide. Thailand has resorted to the same tactics as Britain, USA et.al. of keeping the population under a constant and totally vague threat, and they always seem to come up with more of that crap when real politics would be on the table. Distraction, control and brain-washing that is what's going on here. I say this is all self made pseudo terror and agent provocateurs are out there just like the blue shirt rioters in Pattaya back then. Crushed windows of the premiers car, LOL, bad soap script writers he's got there.

My guess is they are probably red shirt loosers who refuse to give up and in the vein of there recent protest do not care about any one but themselves. I would give three to one odds the red shirt leaders want nothing to do with them. And if they knew who they were would turn them in. You on the other hand want to do your masters bidding with out any questions asked.
