Phuket Lifeguard Club - Carnival 11 September 2010

Featured Replies

Hello all

Phuket Lifeguard Club

Phuket is getting ready for its third carnival on 11 September 2010.

It looks like being a great day and we hope to have lots of people joining in.

Please help to spread the word to your circle of friends about the event. All are welcome to participate or to cheer the competitors.

Know someone who might be coming to Phuket at that time?

Need more information?

I competed in this event last year, to be held once more from Loma Park, Patong Beach. This is an organisation that definitely deserves support, whether as a competitor or spectator.

Hoping there will be support both from people who live here, and those planning a visit - entries can be made on the day and last year many of the events were won by visitors to Phuket who participated. There was a strong Australian contingent - I was an honorary Oz for the day in my green/gold cap.

There are events for under 15s, under 18s, open, and 50-plus

Good thing for a good group. I will be there and will bring friends.

Please try to get you event posted in Phuket Gazette.

cheers; unfortunately I cannot be there this year - so no repeat of my 'blaze of glory' 3 gold medals!

I see the Gazette is listed as one of the sponsors so presume they'll 'push' the event closer to the day. Hope it gets plenty of publicity and I hope the conditions are OK

Last year's was 3 October and it wasn't the best - couldn't hold any children's water events (they did their beach sprint, beach flags etc) the currents were too strong.

Pic is of some of the children at the opening ceremony last year.
