Gifting the Spouse
That appears to be the point of allowing 20 million baht gifts annually to your spouse. Laws were written by the rich for the rich to protect their wealth. I can't see 20 million baht gift tax exemptions being claimed by 99% of the population. From what I read, spousal gifts don't need a specific reason, and the only qualification is that the donor does not have control over the gift once given. If the gift is used for daily expenses, the giver is receiving personal benefits. If the gift is for honey-bunny to buy a house or car in the receiver's name, it's still a gift even if the donor lives there. The "4 things", if I recall, had something to do with gifts to/from trusts. -
