Thai Word For "Speed Bump"

My other half reckons there is no Thai word for "speed bump" (sleeping policeman in UK English). Did a search and looked on thai2english.com but found no translation. Surely there must be a Thai word for those speed bumps in the road. Anyone know the Thai? (Thai script prefered)

The common term is "ลูกระนาด", literally "xylophone bars". I have also seen "เนินสะดุด" (literally, "stumbling hill) on a sign on the road around the North Park golf course.

Siam Traffic manufacturers of rubber speed humps list them as ยางชะลอความเร็วรถ on their website.

We also use the word "ลูกระนาด" for rumble strips.

ลูกระนาด and หลังเต่า have just been approved in my household.

The speed bumps down my soi aren't made of rubber, so you couldn't (accurately, not that that always matters, as we know ) call them ยาง anything.

I'll ask the "win-motorsai" next week when he goes over one at his usual full-throttle pace nearly throwing me off the back (conceivably he doesn't know what they're called because he's never actually noticed them...).

ลูกระนาด is what I use, based on what I've heard others in Bangkok say most often. My wife, a Bangkok native, prefers ตัวหนอน.
