September 3, 201015 yr Hello, the family Touran overseas is out of order. 10+ hours and counting, the garage has been looking for a fault. That alone cost over 40 k Baht plus 16 k for a new fuel pump (no improvement). The built in diagnostics does not bring up anything. This is a long shot, hoping someone here might have an idea what else to look for? Cheers and beers, Chris
September 3, 201015 yr Petrol or diesel? Unless anyone has direct experience and If the dealer can't fix it? Diagnosing on line is next to impossible. You could try VW direct. They will have a rep. for your dealership.
September 3, 201015 yr is it the 130hp? sounds like a leak in one ore more of the 4 "pumpedyse", but this would normally be visible on diagnose
September 4, 201015 yr is it the 130hp? sounds like a leak in one ore more of the 4 "pumpedyse", but this would normally be visible on diagnose is it more easy to start if ignition is on for 5 minutes before cranking?
September 4, 201015 yr Possibly a faulty fuel cut-off solenoid, used when key is switched off to shut down the engine. This may be sticking in the off position, and not opening to allow fuel to flow during start-up.
