Boat Shops In Phuket

Featured Replies

I'm looking to buy an aluminium open boat, 3.2 to 4 metres, with 10 to 25hp tiller operated outboard.

I basically know what I want, and can get details and pictures from dealers in Bangkok, but want to see them, check 'em out, kick the tyres, so to speak.

I'm in Krabi, so would prefer to do that in Phuket.

Can anyone recommend or know of any boatshops in Phuket that carry a range of aluminium boats, whether Twineye, Quintrex, Savage or other brands. A range of secondhand boats and engines would be a bonus.

Thanks for any suggestions.

www.sunnav.com makes fiberglass boats in that size (new) or www.leemarine.com has used boats. Ive also noticed a bunch of small boats in the local classifieds.

Fibreglass is a better option than I thought: the small Sunnav is about the same weight as a comparable aluminium.

Thanks for getting back, Bill.

The only aluminium boats that I've seen here have been second hand imports (Savage etc). Yes, Sunnav have a range of boats within your desired size, though they are 'bare boat' so you'll have to source and have installed the engine/controls.

I know a guy who can make you an aluminum dinghy to your exact specifications. If you're interested
