Thai Driving Licence For Motorbike

Greetings all,

Has anyone done the Thai drivers license test here in Phuket? If so where do you go to do it and how much does it cost.

Also is it worthwhile doing it as I have my foreign driving license which I heard can be converted to the Thai driving licence for a fee. My foreign drivers license has also expired , couldn't be arsed to renew it back home.

Any advice?

I renewed my one year driving licence last week with a 5 year licence (I'm on Samui), on the way back from the licencing center I was stopped in my car in Nathon by the local police,

licence he said with a big smile, there you go I said with a bigger smile, the look on his face was worth every baht of the 900 baht fee.

900b, wow licenses are expensive down there on Samui.
