The Rotary Club of Koh Samui

are sponsoring another SECOND HAND SALE as part of the Samui Mala at the International School of Samui (formerly Bluewater)

this coming Saturday 25th September from 1.00 pm until 6.00 pm. Everyone welcome

All proceeds from the sale will go towards the purchase of a portable hydraulic cutting machine known as the "Jaws of Life",

for use by Samui Rescue staff to assist in opening crashed vehicles to help remove injured victims.

near Bandon Hosptial, just up the road from there on the left ( if you where coming from the Irish Times )

Exactly right, Boater, off the ring road up past the driving range and nearly at the top of the hill turn left, you can't miss it.

many other events going on as well, great for kids, just Google Samui Mala.

Sadly, Asambai will not be with us this year as he was last year with his "Fantastic Plastic" Band.

Just like to thank everyone who came and supported our second hand sale.

Also a big thank you to all who donated items for the sale.

Together with our enthusiastic volunteers and helpers we raised a massive 40,000 bahts towards our target of 350,000 for the purchase of 'Jaws of Life' for Samui Foundation Rescue.

That these "emergency rescue services" are somehow "private" and not government conrolled worries me a "little".... :whistling:

seing "rescuers" of varying hospitals, scuffeling about the "ownership" of the victim, who arrived first and so on... :annoyed:
