kayo
TBB, I don[t know how you do it, but you are always listening ot the same artist. I was reading some old stories of mine and, with one particular story /as yet unpublished/ I ALWAYS listen to the slowhand's LIVE version of River of tears. *the album version sucks, but the live one from the '92 concert "One more car one more rider" This double album is one of my favoirtes by the old master, and he shows off some of his best EVER guitar work on a myriad of tracks, incuding an outstanding version of the following: I want a little girl (if she can cook... Chicken : That line makes me laugh every time) Cocaine Layla Wonderful TOnight, (Never heard a version that tops htis version) and well... most of the tracks. The only weak track is the man's version of Hoochie Coochie man. River of tears.... Three more days to leave this town... dissapear without a trace.... a year from now, maybe settle down,.... where no/one knows my face....

I still don't have enough of his music to suit me but From The Cradle has been one of my favorites for years. Clapton playing ture uncut blues, wow, I have never heard so much emotion or the blues played so aggressively before or after.
