It could be discriminatory situation if team selection criteria favored the ethnic Chinese. I know of sports programs in Thailand that the poorer Thai kids are priced out of the program pretty much by design. And if they happen to have enough money to get in, they are eventually discouraged and pushed to the side in favor of the Ethnic Chinese.

I was referring to the OP's original post regarding the Chinese students and their success. I have no problem with ethnic pride, I happen to agree with you that Sandy Koufax was the greatest pitcher that I ever saw pitch. If I downgraded or upgraded that greatness because he happened to be Jewish, that would be beyond wrong. I get your point about ethnic pride and have no problem with it.
