As for the topic title can anyone recommend a specialist or a clinic in Bangkok where I could get some treatment?

I seat many hours in front of a computer and a result have a bad posture, if can't cure it at least would like to stop it from get it worst and need someone specialized in this.

I went on BHN from a spine visit but didn't help.

Thanks

Orthopedic spacialists treat structural problems. I doubt you have structural kyphosis, which is an abnormal curvature to the bones that comprise the upper spine, often due to collapsed vertebrae. If you did, the BNH spine center would easily have been able to diagnosis it and advise on treatment.

More likely you have what is called "postural kyphosis". This is due not to any structural defect or pathology in the spine itself but rather to poor posture which over time leads to shortening of some msucle fibers in a way that perpetuates the problem.

What you need for this is postural training and exercises. A good physical therapist (although these do not seem very plentiful in LOS) may be able to help. Lacking that, you can find some exercise tips online. Taking frequent breaks from the computer to do these will help.

Frequent massage and Yoga would also be very helpful.

The "Alexander Technique" is a system for retraining posture but it is not well known here I don't know if there are any practitioners in Thailand, if so they will be westerners. Yoga classes on the other hand aren't too hard to find and will definitely help loosen up those muscles and improve the posture of your spine.

I also suffer from tightening of the muscles in a hunched over position, related to computer use, and one of the things I find most useful is to lean backward over one of those large exercise balls (really big ones like they use in I think Pilates-- but any prop that enables you to bend fully backward, arms behind you, will do). This provides the complete opposite posture to that used while on the computer and is a big relief.

Also have an ergonomic assessment of your workstation made which is usually the main cause of bad posture..
