Nevermind the crap 3000b thai pipe, howz she look dressed in white, with some gold shoes to match?

9_1118_9cf9f6848f5670b.jpg

Throw in matching white panniers and P O L I C E in black bold letters in front, and you're all set .

Nice color, would be great if it was shinier. More clear coat? Maybe it's just the quality of the photo.

I had a Honda GB400 that i turned into a Cafe Racer style bike. Would have liked to have kept it but can only afford one plaything and that will probably be the CBR250 with C-ABS later in the year. After 2 bike accidents (not on the GB400) that i think could have been avoided with ABS (or better riding skills!) i want to play safe, even if it is slightly boring!

Nice looking bike.. Can I ask how much did it sell for ?? It had a plate I guess ??

I went to see a GB250 for cutting up, and due to miss communication with the Thai guy he had sold it already.. For 24k with a book and plate..

Now 24k for a 30hp 250cc.. Thats a bargain.. Another 20 - 40 in rims tyres and customing and you would have a rocking street tracker look, that no one else has.. But reluctant to spend the 50 - 60 I am seeing for other plated ones as my first job will be to take an angle grinder to it, seems a waste.

How can we delete posts that we have made ourselves?

you can delete your own post as long as delete button works, within 30 minutes after submitting post as I recall

after this, press "Report" button in lower left corner, and note "please delete my post", and a mod will handle it :)

Ref mirrors: First thing I did was buy a pair of convex minis to stick on mine as there's a blind spot out wide. I prefer to see as much as possible. Of course people primarily use theirs for visual aesthetics, but I actually like to use mine to see the bus that's about to cut in from two lanes out.

That was a steal! Gotta be careful of some of the greenbooks as even though they are legit, you can't transfer them as the person who's name is in the book can't be found to sign it over. Such a weird system for registration!! My 400 had a proper greenbook, i got 90 for it but it owed me a lot more. The guy that bought it is stoked with it, and so he should be with all the time and money i invested in it!

Anyway back on topic, here is a photoshop white CBR250

I can't remember who the beer vendor was last year but Snowflake will be happy to hear that Jack Daniels was and still is one of the co-sponsors! WOOT!

Nice bike again by K-Speed, which once again is destroyed by their hideous non logo.

I think they just buy stick on letters at the stationary store and stick em on. TIT

Hit the nail on the head! What a <deleted> logo on a nice bike! smile.gif

You know, someone earlier wrote that the foot brake would activate both front and rear, but it is the hand brake lever that activates the combi-brake. I had been puzzled, but the Honda presentation clarifies it. Good offering!

Certainly does clarify how the system works. My reading of it is the foot brake activates the combi brake once the rear wheel locks up, but the hand lever only ever activates the front brake. What happens is that the ECU takes the input from when both pedal and hand-lever are activated by the rider and adjusts the front and rear braking forces; this is where the combi brakes does its real job.

In my short test ride of the CBR250 ABS version i only got the chance to hit only the front brake hard, and then at another point only the pedal hard. I didn't get the chance to test applying both the lever and pedal hard. I was disappointed by the lack of stopping using only the pedal, thinking that this activated both front and rear at the same time. Now i know that you use the lever and pedal as you normally would and let the system do the adjustments if needed.

They are very carefully to not say it improves braking!! Saying instead "adjusts the distribution of front and rear braking forces accordingly to offer highly responsive super sports bike braking"!! I guess they are worried about law suits. On page 5 of the chassis section on the world honda site it goes so far as saying: "ABS is not designed to shorten braking distance, but assist braking operation. Therefore, just like with vehicles without ABS, it is necessary to follow save [safe!] riding practices such as decelerating sufficiently before cornering. The system does not control reckless driving." It's a mad world!
