What to expect

When you come to barcamp, register and you will receive a name badge and a wifi password. Registration will begin at 9am. You will be given a piece of paper. Write down the topic you would like to present. Choose a topic that interests you. It doesn't have to be some fancy presentation, it can be a discussion or a panel. It can be tech related—or about anything (Mama noodle recipes 2.0). Be creative. Have fun.

Then we post all the topics on a board and vote. This will begin at 10am. You can vote for as many topics as you like. Vote on the talks are interested in hearing. The topics which get the most votes will be added to the agenda. When we have a full agenda, we will organize them into rooms and—it's Barcamp time! We will have many interesting sessions on many topics, all day long. Until 6:00pm. There will be a lunch break and a snack. All the meals are free. Yes free. At 6:00 pm the official session are over. Yahoo! Developer Network will be sponsoring a free after-Barcamp party starting at 6:30pm, at a location within walking distance of Sripatum. We will give you the details at Barcamp.

Overnight Activities

We have an overnight camp and Dell are kindly providing a lounge area so bring a sleeping bag and pillow if you want to stay. There will be live music, games, events, hacking sessions and much more. Breakfast will be served in the morning and snacks will be available throughout the night. There will also be shower facilities available.

What to bring

Be ready to participate. Nobody “makes” Barcamp for you. The participants make Barcamp. Be ready to present or help a presenter—or help somewhere. Bring a laptop and blog if you want. Or tweet. We have wifi everywhere. Bring a power strip so you can share power with a friend—or make a new friend.

See you there!!

If anyone is interested in mobile phone applications (SMS and internet), and mobile payment systems (premium SMS, Bango etc), that can be used to monetise both inside and outside of Thailand, (such as UK, USA, Australia) - then I'll be at BarCamp4 to do a presentation all about this - assuming that attendees vote for me to do so!

This will not be a presentation about why I am the number 1 guy to provide this type of solution (heavens, you should know that anyway!). Rather, it will be an informal discussion and heads-up on what is available, what is practical, and how rich (or not) one can get by exploiting these types of mobile applications and payment solutions
