gguy
Need to send a parcel to US. Is the sea mail option still available? It is not listed on Thai Postal website. Looking for the cheapest method. Time is NOT of the essence. Thanks.
longball53098
Suggest taking the package to you're local Thai Post office and ask a clerk and then send it that way. They speak English and know the "cheapest" shipping.
craigt3365
As long as it is nothing valuable, just do as longball says. It takes 2-4 weeks to get there. My friend just sent 4 boxes to various places in the US. She does this all the time and has never had a problem. But this time, one shipment didn't make it. It was a registered item and she got a letter from somebody in Spain claiming to have the parcel but insurance was needed to be paid for it to be released. Crazy! A scam for sure. The package obviously ended up somewhere else!
dressedingreen
Depends on the weight. We send quite a few out each year. Usually use registered airmail. Takes between 2 - 4 weeks to the USA, depending which part. The majority of that time is taken up by UPS. Usually, Thailand Post has it on the US mainland within 3 - 4 days. And now you can track registered airmail to flight number and time. It'll be fully trackable next year, same as EMS and registered parcel. Surface mail CAN take 2 - 3 months, depending on the routing and the amount of goods in transit. We're Banglamung side of town, so we use Laem Chabang PO. Excellent service and resident English speaker. DIG
