President Obama to hold Wednesday news conference

2010-11-02 21:42:02 GMT+7 (ICT)

WASHINGTON, D.C. (BNO NEWS) -- President Barack Obama will hold a news conference at the White House on Wednesday, the White House announced on Tuesday.

The presidential news conference will take place at 1 p.m. EDT in the East Room of the White House, a day after voters go out to vote in the country's mid-term election in which Republicans are expected to make big gains and could win congressional majorities.

While the topic of the news conference has not been disclosed, it is typical for the U.S. President to convene a national televised news conference a day after elections.
