As far as I know for the WP no teachers license is required, but you will need one to get extensions of stay from immirgation. You school can apply for a 2 year waiver of the license.

It does also depend on the kind of school you teach. Universities and language schools are exempt from the teching license.

I will be teaching at a private university in Bangkok....

So by chance can I ask how you know this? How/where can I confirm this if any place?

What/where/how does the school apply for the two year licence? Since I work at a private university you say I don't need this?

Again my problem is....I have to go out of the country before the 17th to apply for the Non-B visa....I want/will go to Vientiane Laos...I've been told to not bother going without the Wp3 form.

As I said before a teachers licence is part of the supporting documents listed to submit when submitting the W.P3 form(s).

Please help me confirm that I for sure don't need the teachers licence? How long does the waiver or two year document take to get? I only have less than two weeks... Please help me I am unable to relax because this is very important... Also I only have 4 pages left in my passport and another requirement for the Non-B is to have minimally 3-4 pages in your visa...If I have to go to Cambodia again on the 17th they'll take up two pages (one for the Cambodian visa alone) and then I'd have to worry about that! So please help me with links/phone numbers and as much information as possible so when I go to the university tomorrow I can assist the school in getting the document(s) I need ASAP. Here is the link for the Wp3 requirements....If you look at the "private university" section you'll see where it says teachers licence! :(....

Thank you for your time and assistance

Again thank you for your time and help; So basically I would submit the application for the W.P3 with all the documents except* for the Teachers licence? I don't need a waiver or anything? If I do need a waiver then how do I get the waiver...I am reading a bunch of websites that say I must sign up/take teaching exams ...I don't have to pass but I need the receipt saying that I paid for them and take at least one and get the receipt to show that I am working towards getting a teachers licence. Please just simply reconfirm that this does or doesn't apply to me? Lastly do I just tell the school tomorrow to submit all documents except for the teachers licence and I wont have a problem? Do I need any print out's to give to the ministry such as the one you gave me in the last message? Thank you.

Universities are exempt from the need for a teacher license as they fall under a different department within the education ministry.

exempt for immigration:

Don't know where it says so for teachers, but people in the teaching forum can confirm it.

Any links where people are confirming it? possibly by personal experiences?
