Bad Accident

Featured Replies

I hear Carmen, the fit and happy German girl who used to work for Santi Thani is seriously injured and in hospital, too ill to be moved. Apparently she was at a party at a hillside villa last week and fell from the pool to the rocks below. Carmen has been on the island for yonks and was a serious Hash House Harrier. Does anybody know of her condition and where this happened ?

Crusty: What is a " Hash House Harrier"?

Google it, but generally they are clubs of drinkers " with a running problem "

That's about the thick of it. A bunch of nutters that feel the need to run about all over the place to work up a thirst for a few beers rather than the civilised way of riding a motorbike or driving a car ;)

I don't know the lady but she sounds very nice. Best wishes to her for a speedy recovery. On a similar note my friend the wedding planner did a wedding at a villa just before you get to Chawang. A guy there managed to fall out of the pool onto the rocks below. Ended up having to be flown home by air ambulance to the UK and put a rather large downer on the wedding. I was going to say how can anybody design a pool where this is possible then I remembered where I was.

Thanks for that fezman, lets hope she continues to improve. Carmen was one of our first members when we started the Samui chapter of HHH in 1997 and she would always beat most of the men home. Carmen we will say a prayer for you, hang on in there.

Oh dear dear dear.

Commiserations and get well soons to Carmen . . . if that's possible seeing the number of dents in her.

I fell off a barstool and smashed my bum and that was bad enough. Hardly compares to a broken neck.

Way to go Carmen!

My thoughts are with you duck.
