Life must be slow in Korat, the webcam keeps refreshing with the same picture. I presume it is the missus at the front gate?

IT'S WORKING

post-624-1125304389_thumb.jpg

I wish people would stop doing that. People might come in and expect to see those two guys......................and they only come in about once a month :o

The Lampshade has got his pool table up and running now.

We asked him yesterday if we could leave our pool sticks in the bar - somewhere secure?

He says "yes, you can leave them in my office".

"What if you're not here when we want them?"

"It's ok, the office is never locked!"

:o:D

If you're trying to get into your router and the passwords aren't working try this:

Username: admin

Password: password

Dang 3XCore, you just gave away my userid and password :o

It'll be up & running on monday. Funny thing is it works great on all my computors.

Now being Tuesday.... is it working ?

I know how to make this easier. We PM you our postal addys, and you send us new photographs every week. :o

cv

Wednesday afternoon now... anywhere closer yet?

by the way....... thanks for an amazingly funny thread.

The trials and tribulations of Surin IT ...

luv it...

Lampshade;

an easy way to fix this, as the problem is with Private vs Public IP Addresses and some issues with H323 SIP.

An easy solution, create a Yahoo account like Falangconnection, then go to the options page and on the Webcam tab, select Let anyone view my webcam. Then start your webcam and leave it alone... Then tell us the Yahoo account name, and we can look at it with Yahoo.

If your client computer can see the webcam, so can yahoo, otherwise we are going to have to set up a server and streaming software - not always easy.

Just a point of information. I too have a D-Link router. I had to use the factory reset button in the back to clear out some corrupt port forwarding data. The router reverted to the default user name and password: both are "admin".

Before I did this I took screen shots of all the configuration screens for easy re-setup.

The entire process took about five minutes.

Hey Mike, does this mean we should leave Korat earlier on Saturday or go back from Surin later on Sunday? :D:D Don't think you want to figure this out on Sunday...so I guess I answered that question. :D

Nah, I figure at most it will take five minutes -- ten if I'm drunk. So no need to go early....

Excuse me JD. Could you re-phrase that to read "......turn on their free beer"? Some of us luddites couldn't give a tom tit about the webcam.
