Canal Boat Stop Nearest Sukhimvit 50-60

Featured Replies

Anyone tell me the nearest canalboat stop near sukhumvit rd? I see there is a Thong Lor boat stop, is it far to get to Sukhumvit rd, near Ekkamai Bus Station from this stop. Info would be appreciated as I want to get there by boat one morning avoiding all the traffic.

I don't know where you're traveling from but it might be a better idea to take the skytrain to Ekamai - the bus station's at the foot of the skytrain station. There's a couple of canal stops close to Natioinal stadium and Siam BTS stations if that's any good for you.

Ekamai's soi number is 63, and the closest even numbered soi is 42. Sois 50 - 60 are nowhere near Ekamai, they're closer to On Nut.

Klong Tan canal boat stop would be the closest but the canal boats run parallel and next to Petchabuty Rd, not Sukhumvit.

Klong Tan Pier is close to the intersection of Sukhumvit 71 (Phra Khanong) and New Petchabury Rd.

As another poster pointed out, the even numbered Sukhumvit sois are offset from the odd ones by several kilometers near On Nut. Soi 50 is opposite Soi 77.

Use to be boat service on Klong Prakanong starting under bridge on Sukhumvit between Soi 71 and Soi 73. If still running does anyone know where it goes.

I want to get to sukhumvit 63 , I am coming from Lat Phrao (top end) 117 so I can get boat from Mall Bangkapi, The traffic movement is really slow in mornings, so I would like to get near as I can to Suk 63 and I just see on map that Thong Lor BTS is close to Ekkamai, and there is a Thong Lor Boat stop. The other possibility is going to onut BTS from here but sure traffic is also bad in morning .

Sukhumvit Soi 50 is directly opposite Sukhumvit Soi 79 (Soi Niyom) - which is where I live.

The nearest klong boat stop is underneath the "bridge" (flyover) in-between Soi 71 and Soi 73. It is about a 600 meter walk from there to Soi 50. Boat landing is at coordinates 13.71148,100.597297 on Google Maps.

There are canal boat stops at Ekamai and Thonglor, you could then get a motorbike taxi to Sukhumvit. You seem to be talking about the rush hour so be warned that the boats are packed to the gunnels at these times as are Soi's 63 (Ekamai) and 55 (Thonglor), Ekamai is probably busier but that comes out by the bus station.

Not a regular boat service as per Khlong San Saep sized boats, it goes to Khlong Tan, you have two choices, charter it yourself, or wait for the small boat to fill up with passengers.

Another option is to go to Suk soi 71 and get a song taw to the bridge/flyover at Khlong Tan pier, costs 20 baht.

Get on the boat at either the mall Bang Kapi or Wat Klang, dont know which is closer for you.

Get off the boat at Charn Issara, right beside the Siemens building, this is you at the bottom of Suk soi 63, after that get a motorcycle taxi to your destination.
